Farm Description
Agraria Farm is a small 25 acre farm located in Rehoboth, Massachusetts. Purchased in 2000, the farm fueled a passion to grow a wide variety of berries - strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, currants, gooseberries, elderberries, lingonberries, and more! After trialing an enormous variety of species and cutivars, this year we are prepared to scale up production of our favorites!
We operate 3 seasonal CSA offerings - spring, summer and fall. In 2011 we hit a few road bumps - forcing us to retract our business expansion a bit to work on our land renovating pastures and woodlots. Our small size and limited resources dictate that we maintain a reasonable consumer base - mostly neighbors in our town or surrounding community.
And as we grow our farm, we look to several growing methods: organic, biodynamic and permaculture. As farmers, we constantly strive to work with nature. It's a journey. We hope to fulfill an official USDA organic certification in the upcoming year.
We're living the dream at Agraria - growing high quality berries, produce and other value-added offerings, while earning a reasonable living, helping preserve our rural landscapes and farm businesses, as well as building a sustainable community consumer base.
